Boracay is a tropical island surrounded by stunning white sand beaches about an hour's flight from Cebu or Manila.  Its powdery white sand beaches have received awards from numerous international travel publications and agencies. For beach connoisseurs it competes with the best beaches of more popular destinations such as the Caribbean and the South Pacific as well as neighbouring Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.

The White Beach (or front beach) stretches for about 4km of white, powdery sand against azure water.  Divided into 3 sections following the old boat stations (Station 1-3), Station 2 is considered as the geographical centre of White Beach with shopping centres, restaurants, bars, hotels and other establishments.

Puka Beach is another popular spot for those who are after a more serene, beach setting.  It gets its name from the puka shells lining up the shores so expect a less refined type of sand with rougher waves.  There are few establishments in this beach, more peaceful and much quieter than White Beach. Bulabog Beach (or back beach) is popular for kite boarders and enthusiasts who are after strong winds and waves.

For the more active, the island is a great place to go diving with dozens of dive centres offering classes and trips in about 25-30 dive sites within 10-15 minutes from the White Beach.  Other water activities such as island hopping/boat tours, jet ski, parasailing, banana boat, kiteboarding, sailing (local sailboat called “paraw”) are also available.

For those wanting to relax and rejuvenate, head over to a spa for a massage, facial, or other treatments.  Some services may also be done right on the beach or in your hotel room.

The fun in Boracay doesn't end when the sun sets. Boracay night-life pulsates with many bars and restaurants serving food, drinks and fun until dawn.
